Overview
The success of a policy-driven public health program is dependent on the practitioner’s theoretical understanding of public health, as well as practical skills critical to the analysis, design, and implementation of the public health program. The final project for this course is the creation of a program analysis and recommendation paper (12–15 pages). You will recommend an alternative program solution that addresses gaps or disparities in healthcare access, quality, or delivery in order to improve community or population health. The program will address the needs of the community, and your recommendation will clearly indicate the communication strategies to be employed to engage community members. The program should address a public health issue for which there is documented evidence justifying the need for the program in the community.
The final project is divided into four milestones, which will be submitted at various points throughout the course to scaffold learning and ensure quality final submissions. These milestones will be submitted in Modules One, Three, Five, and Seven. The final product will be submitted in Module Nine.
